Polder Digital is new, but building and looking after websites isn’t. Here’s a site I run day to day. More will follow as Polder clients go live.

The business

Pressed & Precious makes one-of-a-kind jewellery with real flowers set in resin. It started on the road, in a self-converted van, and now sells at markets across Yorkshire and online.

Full disclosure: it’s my wife’s business. That means I see first-hand what running a small business involves, and what a website needs to do to earn its keep.

How I look after it

Callie wants to spend her time making jewellery, not managing a website, so I keep it running quietly in the background:

  • Plugin, theme and WordPress updates
  • Regular backups
  • Security and keeping an eye on things
  • Design changes whenever she wants something new

It’s exactly what my Care plans cover, and it kept the site running smoothly through the busy Christmas season.

The site

A WordPress site for around 200 one-of-a-kind pieces, with a warm, personal homepage, the story behind the brand and upcoming market dates, so online visitors can come and meet the maker in person.

Guido built my website and keeps it running in the background. I never have to think about updates or backups, so I can spend my time doing what I love: making jewellery.
