Privacy policy

Polder Digital is run by Guido Kaspers. This page explains what personal information I collect through this website and what I do with it. If anything is unclear, email guido@polderdigital.co.uk.

What I collect

  • Messages you send me. If you email me, I keep your name, email address and whatever you tell me, so I can reply and, if we work together, do the job.
  • Website statistics. If you accept statistics cookies, Google Analytics records how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed. I use this only to improve the site. Without your consent, no statistics cookies are set.

I don’t sell your information, and I don’t use it for anything you wouldn’t expect.

Why I’m allowed to use it

I reply to messages and carry out work because you asked me to (taking steps towards, or performing, a contract) and because it’s in my legitimate interest to run my business. I use statistics cookies only with your consent.

Who else sees it

My email and website are hosted by third-party providers, and Google provides the statistics. They process data on my behalf under their own data protection terms. Some may store data outside the UK, with the safeguards UK law requires.

How long I keep it

I keep messages for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If you become a client, I keep project and invoice records for as long as the law requires for tax purposes, usually six years.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how I use it, or withdraw your consent to cookies at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of the page. Email me and I’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
