About
Hi, I’m Guido
I’m the person behind Polder Digital. There’s no team or account manager: when you work with Polder, you work with me.

I’m Dutch, and I’ve lived in the UK for years. By day I work in content and knowledge management at a software company, where my job is making complicated things easy to find and easy to understand. I’m also a copywriter, and I’ve been building and looking after WordPress websites for a long time.
Polder Digital brings those together. Small business owners usually don’t need a big agency or a long list of jargon. They need a good-looking website that loads quickly, explains clearly what they do, shows up when people search, and that they can update themselves.
I keep Polder small on purpose. I take on a few projects at a time, so every site gets proper attention and you’ll always get a reply from the person actually doing the work.

The name
Why “Polder”?
A polder is land the Dutch reclaimed from the sea: flat, dependable ground, made with patient engineering and kept dry with regular care. I’m Dutch, and that’s how I think about websites too. Sound foundations first, everything else on top, and someone keeping an eye on it afterwards.
Location
Where I work
I work with small businesses all over the UK, mostly by video call and email. Closer to home, I help businesses in Harrogate, Ripon, York and Knaresborough.
